John Halfacre’s criminal practice started at the Loyola law clinic when he started representing criminal clients while attending law school. Then after law school Mr. Halfacre started working with Tim Upton & Associates representing both criminal and injury clients. As a former federal law enforcement officer with the United States Coast Guard John understands the legal system and what it means to be on both sides of the law.

Mr. Upton started practicing law representing insurance companies. Which included Allstate Insurance Company, Encompass Insurance Company, Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company, Re-Insurance of American and several others. Over this time he received a vast amount of trial experience and won many cases.
Over the years of representing large companies Mr. Upton decided he wanted to represent individuals that were going up against these large insurance companies. In 2004 he started the Upton Law Firm and devoted his life and career to representing the individuals or the little guy. Tim law practice focuses on representing clients in all personal injury matters, and criminal matters.
